leaking raw water pump

I have a 2004 340 Sundancer that had the port engine overheating yesterday upon looking at engine noticed that it is dripping water from the pump question does the whole water pump need to be replaced or just the impeller

If the housing is in decent shape then the kit 9m0050018 should do the trick.

Which pump is leaking? You have the engine circulation pump and the raw water pump.

Where is it leaking on the pump? If it's leaking on the shaft, you'll need a major rebuild kit which includes the bearings and mechanical seal. Not sure which kit scoflaw referenced above, as I couldn't cross it to anything.

Yup bearings and seals

I have had them fail new one is 400. I carry a spare. Based on my experience best to replace it as my repaired one did not last.
