anyone ever change out the stock lights in cockpit for say blue led's ,or can one get colored lens to fit stock light assembyl, the white light is a little to harsh........thanks

Check out Ebay and search Festoon Bulbs. I just replaced the factory WHITES with the BLUE LED's and they are great. It is critical that you know the mm of the lights. The bulbs from Japan and China are the best. It takes longer to get them but they are worth the wait.

Yes checkout the 240da thread and go back and you will see my posts. I changed out the cockpit lights one on the helm and one by the entry way with the Feston LED bulb from Superbrightleds.com. I also changed out the bulb in the rear locker space. So when on the Powercable hole shows the same blue LED.

Do you remember the part number or size festoon bulb you used for the cockpit bulbs?

Kilroy, I'll see if I can find the part number. I only use my lights when I have had the camping cover fully on so bugs have not been an issue because of the blue lights inside.

Must be the area because I have the blue LED lights and blue underwater lights and I haven't had a problem with bugs. Last two weekends we stayed on the boat in different marinas and had them on all night long and no bugs.

I also find the blue LED do NOT attract bugs like the white ones do.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Had to go into my archive emails to find the email from superbrightLEDs that confirmed what I got:

The white ones are for the interior lighting. The blue where for the outside.

The bulb has a micro processor that dose it all. I have the fly bridge , cockpit , salon , hall below and master stateroom. I love them
