Looking at at new used boat

Don’t do it! I bought my first cruiser when my youngest was 6 months old. Best family time money can buy. I stuff 3 of ‘em in that mid cabin every weekend May through October!

We live less than 5 minutes from our dock. Once the first kid arrived, we found that we just never overnighted anymore. It was easier and more comfortable to hop in the car for 5 minutes and sleep in our beds. So the next move will be to a boat that is predominantly aimed at day boating with maybe a small cabin for the rare overnight. I like the Tiara Sport line, but I’m waiting for the used market to shift the price point down a bit.

we have a somewhat similar situation here on Catawba where weekenders (we call them trunk slammers) are buying condos and smaller day boats and selling the big boats.
