Hello,
My control switches are not working and I think my AFT EIM is not working properly. My boat is 2005 Sea Ray Sundancer 340, so this version of EIM is no longer produced or supported. Does anyone how to buy this EIM unit or repair? I am new to this and is this EIM repairable?

That's a tough one there... FP marine has some replacement systems... not sure if they have one for yours yet.

Personally, I think they could be repaired... (if and) when mine goes out, I will try yo fix it. Most likely the problem is in the communications. Its a simple 2 wire bus (like CAN bus) that use chips that should be available.

Best of luck and welcome to CSR!

This was just posted yesterday:

Hi Everyone. We would like to be of service to everyone working on this issue with their vessel. FP Marine (Flounder Pounder Marine) has developed systems to retrofit your vessel. We have systems currently available for everything from Bow Riders to 350 Sundancers.
Sometimes links can fail, so the best way to discover the solution for your boat is to visit our website, www.searay-parts.com and type the letters "EIM" into the search engine. Call us if you have any questions. 321-639-2951

Thank you JimG and MM. As you guys mentioned, FP Marine has the whole new EIM system including switch panels and everything to replace existing EIM modules. The only thing is that, their replacement Kidney shape switch panels are mechanical rather than electrical switches. So, looks a bit different from original rubber press buttons. Due to the problem I have is not so severe (a couple of buttons are sometime not working), so replacing with $3700 different unit, is a little bit head scratching. Anyhow, thank you for all those info. You guys are great.

Hey guys - I know this is an old thread, but I've been following. I have a 06 340 with same issue and thinking about at some point doing the FP solution. In the meantime I'm hoping that nav lights are operational when needed and thinking about backup solutions to use in a pinch. I think it's just a matter of time before the EIM/Switches fail me at the worst possible time. Has anybody hooked up some failsafe solutions for necessary functions. (Nav Lights, blower, hatch lift etc).

Thanks,
MG
