Well ... I bought a boat and I live in Canada .... :smt101

As wonderful that is in the summer, well ... it's Canada!

So during the winter downtime, I am looking for excuses to go play with my boat with some upgrade work so that when I put her in the water in the spring, she will be read and stand-out. So I am looking for some ideas.

I have a 260 and she already has the full camper cavass, spot light, Navman, Windlass, Air, Gen. I know that I need to replace my carpet, but am looking for something a lttle more distinctive, especially since I am alergic to the stuff. The boat is already fully services and winterized, so from that perspective, ready to rock!

I am new to boats and this is my first purchase. I am used to hitchihng rides, but finally bit the bullet and invested in my own.

Any ideas would be appreciated ... :smt001

Do Nothing.
use the boat for a full season to see what kind of changes you want to make
this will save you tons of money

One thing that you should do is go through all the equipment on board and make sure it is in working order and you have all the safety gear that is required. Not that this would be a up grade but now that the batteries are out of the boat you could get them charged and load tested.

Go sit on the boat with a beer and look at things. You will see what you want to change. If you do your own work on the boat sit in the engine area and think of the tools you want. Watch for CTC sales on tools and tool boxes. Stay away from steel tool boxes. Look at the storage areas and figure out how to use them and how to make them more efficient. If you BBQ and there is non on the boat look them up on the net and then think what would work best for you. Best one I ever had was a CBQ brand small but did not catch fire from drippings.
