Lost our anchor. I'd like to replace it with the same kind. In the manual it says it's a 25# and it's a plow. Does anyone know the brand and where I might buy it? It came on a 29' 08 Amberjack. Thanks

I in the middle of closing on a 2002 340 SD, and it has a Dan Forth that does not fit the rollers worth a crap. looking for a factory style plow that will fit the rollers as well.

Got the answer from Searay (they've always been very helpful) it's a Southcoast they're located in Clearwater Fl. It has to be bought directly from them about $150 I'm told.

Yes I replaced one from south coast. They are good, but that 150 price may be off. I had to replace a stainless anchor with a galvanized. Galvanized isn't bad but I think the price was about 250-300. SS was about 3 to 4 times higher. If they have yours in stock it will ship quickly. If not they have to cast it from a sea ray mold and it takes longer.

I bought a SS replacement a few years ago, 22# plow for about $250. Fit the roller like it was made for it and looks so much better than the galvanized delta. Be happy to provide the name (don't want to break club rules) but you can do a simple search for stainless plow anchor. Company makes all kinds of stainless boat accessories. Currently a 22# is $262 free shipping and a 33# is $379. It has held up really well and sets in an instant. Would definitely look into them. They list all anchor measurements so you can make sure it fits before you buy. I'd probably go up from your current 25# anchor if the 33# fits.

Why not take the opportunity to do an upgrade in performance? After a year of using the plow anchor on my boat and never really trusting it, I upgraded to a Rocna anchor. Huge improvement in setting and holding power. No longer have to worry about dragging the anchor while overnight or away from the boat.
It fit the existing bow roller so is an easy upgrade to do.

You guys saying the Ronca will fit the factory roller for a 2002 340? Because I though I read it was upper picky and you needed the factory one to fit with out hitting the boat?

i have a 22# Delta galvi for my boat which is similar in size and almost as heavy as your 29' amber(we always have a full tank) and it has held in everything. swinging currents, heavy winds, only dragged once and reset on it's own in a very short distance and it was very hard sand. several boats ended up on the beach that day from crazy current and wind. we didn't even get on the dinghy yet to go get it by the time it reset on it's own. southco does make a replacement for the Kodiak original that came with it but it's pricey. you can get stainless for less. http://www.marinepartdepot.com/wibeshau28.html

i went with the Delta because it was easy to get, fairly inexpensive and rated just under the Rocna for almost every type of bottom. today i would go with the Rocna or the Vulcan (the hoopless Rocna) if i was in the market for a new anchor. from what i hear the vulcan fits every bow roller that the Rocna doesn't with 99% of it's effectiveness.

I can't speak for that exact boat but it did fit my 2001 260DA with the factory roller.
