How long has it been since the risers where done? I have seen a lot of engine damage done from a bad riser. Is there any other symptoms such as milky oil or excessive blow by or a fouled plug? It was a guy who became my regular mechanic. Cost was about $8k which was about a third of what other shops were asking for.
 
How many hours did you have on it? What was the problem? Rings?
 
I have no photos since almost all of the work were done in a shop by my mechanic. The floor in the salon has to be removed and it requires a small crane or forklift to lift the engine.

Ahhh. That makes sense. Change those manifolds and don’t forget about the elbows. They do leak. Ask me how.
