Lowrance 3500 Depth Finder display head

I haven't tried mine yet, and I don't know if my bottom paint contains copper. Thanks for the tip, I wil test before mounting.

After trying a couple types of epoxy with less than satisfactory results, I finally found somethig that worked great. I was attempting to use the two part liquid epoxy, which apparenlty doesn't allow for enough surface contact.

Out of frustration I ended up using PAC 7 epoxy (which isn't clear as recommended by Lowrance), a two part paste type epoxy available at any ACE Hardware. I applied substantial amount to the transducer so that when it was positioned on the hull it was encased in the epoxy nearly half way up the sides of the transducer. Works perfect now, shallow depth and at all speeds.

I have a brand new display (no transducer) in orig box. Bought it a few years ago to install on my 98 250DA, but sold boat before I installed. Also have brand new gauges - volts, temp, trim, oil pressure, fuel level.

Currently advertised for sale locally. These are impossible to find.

You may want to check Great Lakes Skipper on occasion. Two weeks ago they had 2 brand new ones. They don't sell em cheap though.
