Hi

I have a 2003 280 Sundancer. I’m having a problem with my starboard engine fuel pump it isn’t turning on and priming with the ignition switch. I’ve had a tech on the boat a couple of times to look at it and they have been able to get the pump running by flicking the ignition multiple times. After some troubleshooting they have told me they think there is a break in the wire going to the fuel pump on the main wiring harness. Just wondering if anyone has some information on where the wire runs from the fuel pump to the plug for on the main wiring harness. I might try to get in there myself and see if I can find the break and repair it.

Have you tried swapping the fuel pump relays between motors? Also, make sure the pump fuse is tight in its holder. Chasing a wiring problem in the harness will involve time and a good DVM. Hopefully someone with more experience will have some suggestions.

I finally figured out my issue. Just wanted to post to help out anyone else. I found my issue to be the main Canon plug was slightly corroded. Once I cleaned the terminals and applied some dielectric I haven’t had that fuel pump issue again.
