I am need of help finding the proper motor mount to make a 6 horse short shaft work on my boat. All the hinged versions I see mount to the transom. I do not see how that works when you have a swim step on the boat. Any ideas? link? Do they make them to bolt down to the top of the swim step?

Thanks for your time.

I actually I have that on the boat now with a 9.9 horse on it. I was told that would be to far out of the water for a short shaft 6 horse. Maybe that guy was all wet lol. I am down sizing so I can use the 6 horse on the RIB also. Actually the very first time I took the boat out it quit on me. So I used the 9.9 to get to the marina. This is why when adding the RIB and davit system I do not wish to do away with that option. I plan on getting a Weaver stow & go. and put the 6 up on the swim step when I am running with the RIB on the Davit system.

If the shaft is to short to work on that bracket, mount a board to it and hang the 6hp lower. You're already clear of the platform.
