Looking for manual for 1989 Quick silver QS-6.5 Genny. Also I have a noisy fresh water pump located under main switch panel. Is this a common trait or is trouble imminant. We just purchased boat and it seems to run quite a while after water is used. We moved up from a 270 so all new systems to us.

Please take a picture of data plate on the generator and post it.

Please describe noisy. Like air in the system and the pump is cavitating or is it more of a whining?

The pump seems to run a long time after a small amount of water is used. It runs then it changes sound as its about to shut off its rather loud. A Growl is what it sounds like. But I checked all water fittings (no Leaks) It doesn't run unless a tap is opened (normal) so I figured its just the way it is. It just seems to take a long time to shut off after use. We have an ice maker/vacu flush head/ transom wash down/. Galley sink/ Head Sink. I just figured it took a while to replenish the systems ?. I will post Genny Data when back at boat Thanks for any help you can provide.
