Marlin Windlass -electric terminal on motor

I have a Marlin windlass on my 2002 Sundancer. One of the terminal screws on the electric motor came loose and separated from the motor. I assume it snapped off.
Has anyone made this repair ? Can I take the motor apart and replace it myself or do I need to send the motor to a shop ?
