Go to Mercruiserparts.com, enter your engine serial number and it will list the correct parts. I had to replace a starter on one of my 8.1's earlier this year.. not sure where you are located, but I ordered on a Tuesday morning, it shipped the same day, and I had the part Thursday afternoon. Cost was around $300.00, but it was a Mercury part.
