Mercruiser fuel consumption website. Anyone seen this before?

cool site. Seems a little high to me tho..

Seems about right ("top up" empirical, not flow meters) for my 4.3ls, tho we're TKS/carb'd

The 496 numbers are way off. 3400 for us is 15-16 gph and 4000 pushes up to over 32 gph. That's per Smartcraft. Additionally, when I refill the tank it usually takes 10% more than Smartcraft predicts will be needed, suggesting the burn rate numbers shown are lower than true actual.

It seems too optimistic when I compare to my POed 320DA with 5.7MAGs. Their site is showing 12.5GPH at 4000RPMs, my actual numbers were 12.5-13GPH at 3600-3650RPMs.

Hey, www.botenkeuze.nl is my website (-; i'm from the Netherlands ...

Sometimes i have to choose between different boat tests data,
fuel consumptions date can be higher or lower on tests, i can only show one

On this moment i'm very busy making my new website, feel free for comment,
i can change fuel consumption data

I hope the English version is ready next week, its gonne be,

Under Construction only the US gallons version is almost ready,
and also contains twin engine and outboards

For me they are about 10% low. My Crusader 454/350's burn 14 gph per engine @3000 rpm (per Garmin GFS10 flowmeters) but that's pushing a heavy boat. If they were in a 34 ft EC the #'s would be close. When the 4 barrels open @3150 all bets are off. Good info and useful as a guideline. Just have adjustments based on heavy or light engine loads.

Under Construction so dont click on the website this week!

Welcome aboard, Mart. Please let us know when the new site will be available.

I think it's pretty close to my real numbers. At 3500 rpms I burn right around 16-17 gph for both motors depending on conditions. The site stated 8.5gph at 3500.

Welcome aboard and thanks for the info.

Is Ethanol used in Europe? Ethanol may account for some percentage of the additional fuel consumption that we see.

Unfortunately it is accurate for my boats..:smt089. .7 MPG for my 340 is about right... Makes me think about where I will be going... Maybe using the little boat more this summer...
