Bought yellow microfiber towels at Walmart. wiped the aft deck of the boat. Left the wet towel on the floor to dry. Next week when it was picked up it left a yellow stain on the fiberglass floor.

Yep.

I love these type of towels however some of them bleed before first washing.
Home Depot has them in white.

Thanks for the heads up!
I use my cooler storage cabinet for a bucket and cleaning supplies. It’s easily accessible and makes a great place to throw these things, when you’re done cleaning.

Just any FYI: I have learned a lot about micros over the years. Those towels made in China are not what I would use based on the above but also they are inferior to the ones made in S.Korea. Put them side by side and you will see what I am talking about. China ones are thinner and fade whereas S.Korea ones are much thicker and I have never had one fade. You will pay more generally for the ones made in S.Korea but worth it over time.

Go to Auto Geek (they have a marine section) Micro Fiber runs from crap to fantastic and you get what you pay for.

I buy them at West Marine never compared quality. Assume there are source less expensive, but they tend to be an impulse item. I keep a large quantity on board and restock when I think about it.

That said, I have a 5 gallon plastic bucket I grab when doing something productive - like cleaning something. I throw whatever I am working with in it (sponges, cleaners, towels). When I finish I wash/wring out the towels and drape them over the sides of the bucket.

Take it from someone who goes thru about 100 towels a year. Skip all those cheap microfiber towels. If you are going to use them use the good ones. SqueegeeLife makes some one the best I’ve ever used in 28 years of window cleaning. Yes they are pricey but last and do the job they are meant to do
