Most of his threads he posted, he had already spoken with me about at nauseum. Then made post's about about it like he knew what he was talking about.

The best was his youtube channel. Everything he made lame videos about I talked him though doing not knowing what he was going to do with it. That really pissed me off because he didn't do it as explained and half assed it. Then acted like the expert.

I actually felt bad for the guy when I realized he does have issues, but by then it was bye bye.

You are to be commended for your efforts on his behalf. Being a person that will generally try to help anybody if I can, I have seen first hand the truth in the adage that 'you can't save everybody'.

I think my biggest pet peeve is when such a person asks a question and then argues with the answer, which automatically puts me in the "I've already wasted more time on you than I should have" mode.

Like you, I feel kind of bad for such people, but then again, by that point there seems little to be done.

Exactly! I love being argued with when you were asked to explain something then be told you're wrong ... Then why did you ask me, thinking you would be told your right?

I had forgot about the YouTube videos……. It should have been another warning sign.

Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

He and his girlfriend stopped at our marina last fall for lunch. I believe he said that he was thinking about selling the boat and may even had an offer. I was wondering where he's been.

I called him out for posting inaccurate info on the 3116 thread. He sent a PM to tell me he was only trying to help others. My reply was, if you don't know, please stop "helping". (because guys like me who know nothing, learn from technical sites like this)

After that I received what can only be described as a manifesto PM. I read the 1st sentence and deleted.

Yea I never knew all the back stories, but I could tell there was some tension. One time he posted a thread something like “ if you don’t like what I post, send me a pm, don’t call me out in public” but never really knew what brought in on

I sent him a pm after that post that said

Maybe someone needs to check on MrsRobinson. He might be wedged in to some tight spot on his boat, all tangled up in miles of wire that he's running for the new stereo system.;)
 
I feel like he sold the boat like Jaybeaux said. He hasn’t been around for awhile. Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out! :cool:

You know I didn’t have any animosity toward him, but I didn’t have any run-ins with him either. I think he joined in 2006 or something, to be around that long, did he bring anything positive to the table?
