Well I am a little late getting 'Dancing on the Water' in this year, but most of the regulars at R Dock in Hammond have assured me I have not missed much good weather.
That said I am getting closer.
Spent Sat and Sun compounding the hull from the rub rail down.
Followed that with Buff Magic.
Heard so much chatter here I had to try it and am now a proponent of the product.
Will be putting a couple of coats of Starbright Teflon on this week.
Will be doing topsides this week.
So far I have installed all new VHF Wiring, Connectors and Antennas.
Ran new coax for the Shakespear 2020 antenna.
Ran new lighting wires for the arch and bridge cockpit.
Generally cleaned up 18 years of PO and my wiring.
Scott......No more bungees on the bridge!!
And a big thanks to Scott F for all of the coaching on winterizing my engines.
Though I am a hands on guy and do all of my own repairs I generally have the marinas
do my engines as sort of an insurance plan. Scott fielded a lot of questions via phone and
walked me through the process
So again, Thanks Scott !!
Fired up both engines Sunday and they both ran great from the get go.
Joe T (firecadet) can attest to that as I made him listen to them on the phone as he
brought more bad weather to another lake!
Got to love the sound of those 454 big blocks!
Couple of pictures below of a 19 year old hull!
Hoping to splash soon!
