Back when I initially purchased my 340, I installed Lumitec white, red, blue led lights in the arch / spoiler. Added a terrific feature of dimmable white and static red or blue lighting option. Now that I’ve moved her over to our new home, lights simply don’t work. Went so far as to pull one of the fixtures and wire up the old light (thankfully I’d the good sense to keep ‘em) to see if it was a product failure but sadly this doesn’t light either. Upon inspecting the underside of the dash I’ve two questions: could it be the actuator? And secondly, how in the name of sanity is one supposed to change out these things??? The harness is all tidy and super tight so I can find zero play in the wiring. This is disconcerting at best as I’m about to order new dash bezel replacements from FP / Technografic (haven’t decided which) and am already groaning from the proposed headache I can see in my immediate future.

FYI, I can find no blown breaker / fuse to speak of, and am befuddled as to why these would stop working. All other actuators seem to perform as expected.

Check for power at the switch to know whether or not the switch is bad.

Were I going to change out the dash panels I'd get 100% new panels, actuators and switches. That way I could move one wire at a time. There's no way I'd try to reuse the actuators!

Absolutely the plan

100% of how it will go. Once decided if burl or black, all actuators and switches to be ordered as well.

So when in doubt, go back to the beginning... removed both lights, trimmed wires back a tiny bit, installed new 10/12 butt splice terminals and et voila! Back in bidnezz

Full disclosure, I failed to mention after the fact, my depth sounder screen was not coming on either when enabled. Found my shore power connection also disconnected. Long story short, dunno if my batts were drained yet I sincerely doubt as I have nothing powered while berthed yet I did have stereo running while doing a cleaning on Saturday. Yet that’s hardwired to a single deep cycle. All working now.
