My 2008 SR 290 only has 260 engine hours and 127 generator hours. I got the impression that the water heater was seldom used. I have had the boat 1 year and use the hot water for showers and dish washing. I have had no problems until last week and now no hot water Any ideas? Is there a fuse for the water heater, going thru the wiring diagram I didn't see any fuses. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a reset button under the water heater cover. If that doesn't work I ask you if you ran the water tank dry with heater breaker turned on. If you did then you most likely burned out the heating element. Easy to replace and about a $20 part. Should be able to get at Home Depot.

The "fuse" is the breaker on your MDP. You might look at this as an on/off switch, but it is actually a breaker.

Does the water not get hot when running the engine it's hooked up to, either? If not, there are bigger problems than just a reset button or a failed element (which, by the way, is very similar to a home hot water heater setup).

Thanks a lot Hottoddie I will give it a try
