Installed a Cielo eco remote AC control. Am now able to remotely set thermostat by wifi.
Neat upgrade for $75 if you have a system that already has a hand held remote like the SMXir controller. I tapped into the 110 outlet in the tv cabinet for the old tv.Works perfectly.

Man I don't even think WiFi was invented yet when my AC unit was built. I'll just add this to the list of reasons I want to replace my salon AC....very cool.

Hey...Mine is the original 2006. I was kinda surprised it would work.

I believe you can do multiple units with one cielo and set up zones. Pointing at the control is stated in the instructions. Mine did worked any place I put it though.

Heck both of my 36yo units still work. I'd be disappointed if a 16yo ac didn't still work.

This is tempting, since they dropped the price on Amazon. It was $100 last year when I put my MarinAire unit in...but for $72 it's temping to give it a shot.

That was exactly what I said.
