I just purchased a bow rider from a private owner but the rub rail insert is missing. I was told the part is no longer available from Sea Ray. Does anyone know how I can get one. I need a black rail insert. Thanks!

Try Taco Marine - they make a lot of this stuff.

Another option is to contact Sea Ray and find out who the OEM supplier is.

if you just need the rubber/plastic insert look on Ebay..measure the width
alot of RVs use the same inserts

There a re a few different types over the years but the rubber insert comes in a roll and is usually of a flat shape with a ridge running along each edge.
You basically fold it to get the ridges locked into the aluminum channel.
Good luck with your search.
Just to help here is a picture one type of channel used in 1985 and how the rubber insert usually installs:

Yeah, what they ^^^ said. You definitely wouldn't want that insert from a salvage yard boat either. It would no longer be flexible, and would probably be damaged just trying to get it out of the rail. Get the new stuff in a roll. You will be happy you did!
