need heilp with gimble ring

I've removed everything up to the gimble ring. The bottom pin is out, then U bolt is pushed back as far as it will go. How do I get the top to come off the top pin( the big square one that holds the whole mess up top). Thanks Nicky

Did you remove the nut from the top of the upper pin ?

This being my first attempt to work on the out drive, I am moveing very slow. I was hopeing that the removel of the U bolt would release the gimble ring.But wrong again. I figured out today that the nut and the arm will have to come off. I just hope that I can get in there with out removeing the engine. I will study the info on the site and see how it goes. Thanks for the help, again. Nicky
