hi everyone , this is a great site , wish i had found it years ago , anyway , i have a 5.0 quicksilver generator , starts but stops right away , i removed the #85 wire but still won't stay running , green light come on the panel but as soon as it starts it goes off , and the gen stops, cuts of power to the fuel pump etc , i would be very grateful of any help , thanks harry.

check to see if you have AC output. I am not familar with quicksilver generators, but most generators will not stay running if there is no AC output. They typically use AC voltage as run interlock like a key switch on a car. If you have AC output, remove your shutdown wires one at a time to see if you have a bad switch.
