My port bilge blower was not working, and the stbd was loud, so I replaced them both. The port still didn't work, so I started to trouble shoot. I found a popped CB on the forward wall of the engine room. I reset it. The next day, it was popped and it wouldn't reset.

After I run a new wire to the blower, I'll need to replace the 7 amp CB. It's one of those which is a white pin with a clear, rubber cover over it. The CB box has 3-slotted screws holding it together - not standard, and not phillips, and not star shaped.

Anyone know how I can replace it?

breakers and relays are not really replaceable on those units
they are soldered to circuit board

So,

What's next? Wire in a separate breaker and relay? That seems like the next best move.

Or, should I use an unused accessory circuit?

if you feel comfortable to modify the system you may try to use wire from working blower to power small relay (marine grade, ignition protected - I think most bosh relays are ignition protected) which will power both blowers (of course with separate breaker for each one)
that way you will be able use your single switch on dash and use a remote switch in the cabin (if you have any)

How do I fix the breaker box? Can an electrician do it? Can my dealer do it (They'll probably just replace it and charge me for a new boat)?

yes dealer will replace whole unit - about $400 + labor
electrician? I don't think so but guy who does electronics will be able to do that if he can find replacement part and those may not be available.
Modification would be easy
drop a pm for few pointers

The breaker boxes are sealed as per coast guard regulations and are not to be opened. I think this is to provide protection against arcing, which is a bad thing in an engine compartment. The breaker may not be the problem. To trouble shoot, perhaps wire the blower that will not work to an accessory of the same amperage or disconnect something else and use that circuit to test your new blower. If the new breaker pops, then problem is likely in the new motor, wiring harness or the installation.

Something's wrong, or right. It all works great now. The CB reset, and the new blower works fine. They both work fine. It's a long story, but I think I started to trouble shoot before checking the obvious stuff. Anyway, it's all good.

Thank goodness, 'cause I wasn't going anywhere without good blowers. Thanks everyone for your help. I'll be back when I go to wire the underwater lights.
