Need help with attachments

First, I did try searching and the FAQ's but no luck. In the past, I have attached pics to a forum post but can no longer do that. :huh: When I go to manage attachment, it opens a folder where I can add files. But there are 8 existing files (pics from previous posts) already listed which apparently take up space. I cannot remove these files from the home folder. When I try to upload a new file, it says there is no room.
What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me out?

I kust had the same problem. In fact, there were two photos in my folder that I didn't put there. I couldn't upload anything new. I think something is messed up.

Workaround: Post the photo to Google docs, click "share," then copy link and paste it into your post.

Dutchman, Click on Settings at the top of this page, Then go to the bottom of that page and you'll see- Miscellaneous.

Then click on Attachments. In there you can delete them. :thumbsup:

thanks there summerFun............the page you are referring to, lists every picture I currently have attached to previous posts (there were 5). Deleting there, also deletes them form the thread. So fooling around in there, this is what I have found;

There are 2 different formats to manage attachments, also found in the general settings of my account under misc options. Basic or enhanced which lets you use previous uploads by drag and pasting. Regardless which one I chose, it will not work.

The BIG problem, is my "attachment" folder says I'm way over my limit. But my limit is set at 48kb. That is not enough for one pic or attachment. So somehow my limit has been changed. It makes sense, I already had about 400kb of data in my file, so if the limit was reduced to 48, that's why the errors keep occuring.
Are there different levels of accounts that allow people to attach files?

Admin, Admin, where are you? Any ideas?

I have the same issue. Seems no way to remove old uploaded files or images from the menu and I have reached my limit.
