Need info on upgrading 1997 Systems Alarms

Can anyone offer any info/advice on upgrading the Systems Alarm Panels on a 1997 Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge to Digital Systems? Where can I get them? Does Sea Ray have them?
How difficult is the task?

I have checked into the from time to time just out of interest. The digital displays show up on Ebay every once in a while for a few hundred $. By looking at the wiriing diagrams for the newer boats that are on the Sea Ray site it appears that the digital system has two main components. One is the display that you see at the helm and the other is a controller that is mounted under the helm and connected to the display. I think all of the wired inputs from the various sensors are connected to the controller which is then connected to the display. Looks like a lot of work to convert. My systems monitor works fine so I have not messed with it.
