Hi all
purchased 06 sundancer 280 with old clarion and no cockpit remote. upgrading the entire setup and wanted to know which route (how) do I run wires from cockpit over to panel (radio location below). basically starboard to port

thanks

Unless you already purchased the unit, look at the Fusion units. They can be set up to use an app on your smart phone or tablet as a remote. No wires to run and you can have as many remotes as you have devices.

There's really only two ways and neither of them are "easy". The only easy way to run the wires is to first pull the top half of the boat off the bottom half and do it the way the factory did it. That would make running the wires extremely easy, but separating the two halves of the boat might be a little labor intensive. ;)

Route #1 is to remove cabin headliner.
Route #2 is to run the wires along the starboard side down to the bilge, then back up the port side.

As mentioned above - I would look for a better alternative. At a bare minimum, get a stereo with a simple bluetooth function... which is pretty easy to find nowadays, and cheap.
