Hello to every one, I am new to this forum so I hope I am doing this correctly. My question is this, I purchased my 40 Sea Ray September of 2008 and the boat now has 31 hours, also equipped with Cummins diesels. The following has been replaced on the boat buy the dealer: trim tab pump, generator water pump, 24 volt charger and batteries, vac flush system hoses ( would not hold vacuum), both fuel tank senders and sensors. This seems a little excessive to me or am I wrong?

welcome Mike. there are lots of posts of new boat owners on the site and its not uncommon to have afairly long list of things to fix. The important thing is ...your dealer fixed them! On this site and others I also have read the list could be much longer with some other builders. The 40 is a nice boat(been on one)and I bet you enjoy it alot when all the bugs are out of it. Ric

I always say mine is better than new because i have worked out all the kinks. 1 new ac unit, bow thruster charger and batteries, radar sending unit, ice maker. Changed out the TV's and Direct TV reciever, called the canvas guy back 3 times and SeaRay has stood behind every bit of it.

A punchlist is normal.....you want things to go wrong during the warranty period......always keep a well documented list....sometimes items are better taken care of during the winter when it is on the hard......Dont panic with items......a guy at my dock had so many items wrong with his boat (36 sedan 2007), but the engines ran great and he used it every weekend.......last week they swaped his boat out for a 2008 36 sedan.........not bad huh.....
