Well I have been keeping my eye out for an Amberjack for a few months and finally think I came across a deal I could not pass up. After months of being patient I picked up a 1989 Amberjack 270 with twin 5.7L engines. I wanted to get a survey but did not have the time considering the deal I got. I looked it over, the hull and transom area looked solid =/ but I did notice some stains in the Birth area that I will have to find out how water got in there. Also when the AC is turned on the breaker trips immediately and the port side engine has a clanking sound the previous owner told me was a flap that keeps water from washing back into the engine sticks. Anyways Hello everyone! My first "big" boat is a Sea Ray =). I hope to spend the winter fixing her up and maybe get to enjoy next spring! Please excuse my ignorance I am trying to learn the terminology, ect. I know I have a long way to go but I supposed now is as good as time as ever to start!
