My wife and I purchased our first boat and received it this weekend. It's a bit daunting and I have lots of small questions. I will search the forums the best I can for a bit.
We cleaned her up some yesterday and took her out for our first ride in her this afternoon (besides parking in the slip)

I just bought a boat just like yours a couple months ago so far we really like it. I had to replace the shift cable bellow where water was leaking in and a few other minor things but for my family of 3 it's the perfect size. Good Luck.

So far the only things I've found not working is the "up" trim on the throttle, windhshield wiper, and depth finder. I knew that before buying but they seemed like repairs I could handle on my own. Took her out for our first real ride on it last Sunday and it was fun. Parking it back in the slip was a challenge so I'll be back out for some practice next week and exploring the bilge area some more.

Congrats,
At the end of June I purchased the same exact boat in RI. I learned quickly that boat ownership is fun and expensive. Needed to replace the water heater after springing a leak and my trim indicator is stuck on "Up". But other than those few things the boat is great.
Problem being now I want a bigger boat like the guy in the slip next to me (Sea Ray 320).
If you don't mind me asking where did you find your 270 SE?

Congrats and welcome aboard! Keep searching the forums and you will find all of the answers you are looking for. This place has a wealth of knowledge.

Congrats and welcome aboard. I have a 1998 270SE and love it. Feel free to private message me with any questions. I have owned mine since 2005. My winshield wiper does not work either. Water pools in the motor housing. I have been meanining to replace it with a newer sleaker model but not a high priority as I am a fair weather boater. Have fun this summer!
