I was watching some Youtube videos from the Miami Boat Show. Prices sure have changed in the just under 2 years that I've not been paying attention.
13' center consoles - no radio, one gauge, no cooler - show special - $29K.
27' Chris Craft with a stern drive - No cabin, toilet in a little closet in front of the main passenger seat. Overall, it is a very sharp looking boat. But $428K! Huh? Really? And you can't even spend the night on it?
Everything over 30' shown in several videos that I watched were well over $500K. None of them were "yachts". My mechanic told me I could get $100k for mine while he was working on it at the end of last season. I told him he was nuts. Maybe it's me and he knows something I don't? It sure looks like boating is going to be out of reach for most of the population in short order.
I'm glad that I found the right boat for me, and that it's paid for.
