With hurricane Issac brewing in the Caribbean I got to thinking that it would be nice to have a weather related category for members to post to. There have been several instances in the past where I would wonder about the well-being of other boaters in other parts of the country. I have posted as much from time to time. The posts seem to get lost in the shuffle after a while.
I think it would be a great tool for boaters to check on safe harbor, dry storage, etc. Also a great way to check on storm updates and get advice from some old pros in areas where some of us may not be privy to all the nuances of the area.
Any weather event will be a good posting subject – not just hurricanes.
My apologies if there is something similar, I have not found it.
