I/O v6 in the crestliner, other engine being restored
Hello folks,
I am a newbie here and am looking at acquiring a SeaRay. The current owner knows nothing about it and is looking for the title. :smt021 I am hoping somebody here can help me figure out some info to identify the boat. This is the serial number SER87M430982-225CCO81-8 on the side is V-225. It is a cuddy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Nancy

Thanks for the welcome and the quick response! That is definitely the boat. The owner is my best friend and her Mom just dropped it at her house about 4 years ago. She told us to make an offer. Apparently it has been run and winterized every year, but the cover has been off and the interior needs all new vinyl.

Welcome to CSR!

Its a 1982 SRV225.
Likely built in the Michigan Plant.

Be sure you have those numbers correct then

may offer some more details as well as the 'Owners Resources" tab on Sea Ray's website.

That is it! Thanks for the link. That will help us do some research on it. You people are great!

better check for a soft (rotted) floor and seat bases if rain was allowed to enter the boat.....I am pretty sure a boat of that vintage would have a wooden floor and seat bases.....

good luck and welcome to CSR.....

We pretty much assume we will have to replace the flooring. Thanks for the heads up about the seats, I didn't think of that. The price is make offer, so we will bring it home and check it out. We are 1/2 way to either Lake Erie or Lake Michigan. We want a salmon boat. The downriggers stored but with it and it has planers too as well as an electric anchor. I think the skeleton is good, so it is a matter of the interior. When we look at it fully my friend would probably accept $1 considering the amount of work and she would be able to use it whenever she likes when it is finished.
