I was surprised at the hole shot but what was that an 18 footer? Until they show it planing a 24' and above cruiser it's nothing different. Also the claim of better fuel economy is hard to believe. But how nice would it be to get in the shallows without worrying about wasting your shaft or drive. I'm surprised you don't see more smaller fishing boats with jets.

Looks like alot of moving parts to me. I would imagine if you were somewhere with growth, keeping the inlet clean and clear would be imperative.

The problem of all jet drives is drag, None of these things are as fuel efficient as a simple propeller.

I own a jetboat and a prop boat. From what I see there is nothing special about the quickjet. It seems to have the same sort of reverse mechanism as a jetski. Like my 1970's jetboat, it just reverses the water flow with a gate that drops in front of the jet stream. The intellejet system looks pretty cool because of the variable pitch blades and variable inlet and variable outlet. I would think they could be pretty efficient. The website doesn't show any efficiencies comparisons to let us know how it is more efficient, if it really is. Looks like a great design, but as someone else said very complicated looking. I think the beauty of my old jetboat it its simplicity!
