Changing out the old square fixtures in the bilge as i'm in there working on winter projects. What have you all used as replacement fixtures? I'm thinking 2 light bars 8-12"

Boat is a 97 300DA with Inboards. Access isn't an issue.

This is what I had done - quite a while ago, now. If I remember correctly, I got the lights from Super Bright LED's - but again, that was quite a long time ago - I'm sure there are better stuff available. But it at least maybe offers some ideas for you.

In our case the fixtures were still fine. Just changed the bulb, used a bright 4000K LED. Took minutes to change them, very bright and they don't get hot. https://www.superbrightleds.com/1156-led-bulb-18-smd-led-tower-ba15s-base+color-Natural~4000K

I tried replacing one bilge light with a short length of left-over LED strip light, but the 3M adhesive would not hold for very long. I think the heat in the engine room weakens the glue on the strips.

Another contributing factor is that the bilge gel coat is different from the topsides - it has a wax additive in it. Light sanding and acetone helps.
