I am from St. Louis, Mo. I bought a used 1998 Bowrider 3 weeks ago from MarineMax Lake of the Ozarks and can't quit taking it out for a ride. This is my first boat and I love it. It has a few issues that I'm sure I can address with the help of you ladies and gentlemen. I'll be lurking for awhile reading up on alot of stuff to get to know my way around here and my boat.
A few things about my boat. It had only 203 hrs on it when I bought it. (now as 215) Is this alot of hours? It has the 4.3L V-6 w/Alpha drive, it came with a trailer(with hydraulic surge brakes). It has the convertible top but no boot to stow it in. It also came with a 5-bladed SS prop on the drive and the factory prop is stowed under the captain seat. I have gotten upto 44mph but was told it would go 53mph with the factory prop.(I'm not looking for a speed other wise I would've bought a speed boat.) Just something to get moving with and not eat someones wake.

I would say it is pretty low. It would average out to around 20 hours a season. My 99 210 had 167 on it when I bought in May and I considered this very low. The previous owner bought it new and basically sat at the dock with it. I have put 32 hours on it this summer and have a few weekends to go before putting it away for the winter. Most of the dealerships around here gave an estimate of 25 to 30 hours a season, for most in this area the season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
