New video of 400 Fly

The 400 Fly with Hardtop suffers from the same thing all open air Sea Rays suffer from, inadequate shade. Look at the aft bench on the flybridge. Maybe not in the summers in Tennessee or the Chesapeake Bay or the PNW, but in south and southwest Florida, anyone sitting there in the summer will get fried. The front of the hardtop needs to be half a foot longer or more, and the back could use a full 12".

The entire older Sundancer line suffers from the same flaw, in one way or another. The forward bimini and the aft sunshade (even calling it a sunshade makes me laugh) or the ridiculously small hardtops aren't nearly adequate to provide shade from Florida sun. I think Sea Ray opted for form over function and goes with canvas and hardtops that are more consistent with the lines of the boat than how much shade they will provide. Again, if you live elsewhere...you're probably satisfied. If you live in south and southwest Florida during the summer, you're probably not.
