Hey all, new to the forumn... Been looking at a 1988 Sorrento open bow in really good condition, always stored inside, never left in water - double bimini, camper enclosure. Askin $8500, that sound reasonable for a clean good running '88 Sorrento? Trailer is also very nice, 4 wheel brakes. I know it's a vague question, but I had a couple people telling me it is way over priced for a boat that old... It is hard to find price comparisons... This boat has many options and was definitely well cared for...

Which size Sorrento model? What engine & drive? Is the engine & drive original/ever replaced/rebuilt? How many hours?

Not sure of the hours, 23 foot - 5.7 mercruiser.... bellows were recently replaced on outdrive as well as lower seal

I think in today's market that price is little high, even if the boat is in great condition... If it were 10 years newer the price would be about right... $5K would better...

I thought so too, and NADA says around $5500, but I have not seen any posts online under $8K for this same model.... one was just refurbished and was right at $8K, but did not include a trailer... and the trailer on the boat I am looking at is a very nice trailer

That's a nice boat but I think you can find a newer Sea Ray for that kind of money.

I agree with the others that the price sounds kinda high. If it was repowered, the seller might have a case to justify that price.

The 23 Sorrento was a great model in the 80s. If you really like it, make a fair offer of around $6k. Since the NADA is only $5500, you shouldn't be insulting him. Maybe he'll counteroffer, and you can get it for under $7k.

Hey Bergman13,
We bought an 88 Sorrento Cabin Cruiser this spring the interior is Mint, the outside needs a little love, not terrible though. We got her for 6,200 through a broker who said that was about all one can get for that boat in this economy. I know its not exactly the same boat but hopefully it gives u a little something to go off of.
