Thanks for the forum. Ive been out of the boat market for a couple years and started looking again. Would like to have a 17-19 ft bowrider. Live on a lake with small boat house (narrow/ 8ft).
Had a Glastron previously and enjoyed it. It had the v-6 and ran really well.
Do the 4 cyl SeaRays tow well?? Tubing and water ski?? Top speed about??
Can anyone advise me on what to be cautious about?? ie rot, finish issues, mech
Thanks Again,
BobH

Hey Bob,

Just saw your tagline and chip in about the question you asked and also your avatar.

I'm located along the PA / NJ border which the Delaware River runs along. I see plenty of small bowriders in the size range you're looking for towing tubers and an occasional skier.

Being new myself I can only answer a question about rotting...and only about the type boat I've been researching...240 OV. These boats if having been maintained properly might show some rotting near the engine cover and rear bench area from what I've seen so far. I can't imagine any of the bowrider designs being radically different in the rear end where the rotting occurs in some of the larger models. Hope this helps.

Regarding your avatar......C-141 B Starlifter. I was a cre chief on those things in NJ many years ago. Nice to see the 141 in your avatar. They've been retired from what I've heard.
