hello to everyone in the Sea Ray Classics forum, i'm new and i want to say hello and introduce myself a little. my name is steffen and i live in vienna/austria. I own a 1977 Sea Ray 260 Express Cruiser named "Miss Elli" and i'm really impressed about this forum here. I do boating with my old lady in italy, near venice and it is a pleasure for me, to get in contact with some more people, who spend their hard earned money in grazy beautiful things like classic Sea Ray's.

thanks and
best regards
steffen

Welcome !

Nice to see these classics overseas - something most people here in the states don't think about.

Thank you for welcome!
Oh we have a few classics here in europe. in the marina, where my one is placed, we have a few 260's, 268's, 300's, 340's and a few 390's. So what is a few in europe? i think 5-10 percent of the builded numbers by the big US boat builders was importet in europe... so much less than in the states

greetings

hi JC,
thank you! you're right, the swim deck is extra large. it is nearly about 36-37 inches. original was something about 16-18 inches, when i remember right. i look for a pic, where you can see it better, if you are interessted in.

From what I see it is alot like my 20 footer only you have alot more boat I like the hell out of that layout, I would like to see more of it. I don't stay out all night or anything on mine I just cruise the day and sometimes late into the night doin 12oz curls and then I drag er on back to the barn and wait for the next nice day

Welcome Steffen, my "baby" is a 1981 SRV 245 Sun Dancer in need of TLC. I'm in the process of giving her a full overhaul including overhauling the merc 5.7 engine. Glad to see more and more people enyoying the clssics - enjoy your boat and that big swim platform.
Regards
Jim
