Anyone going?

It looks like the weather is going to cooperate (knock wood) so we're making the run from Haverstraw to Norwalk on the Sept. 23rd to attend the show on Saturday. Hopefully the water will clear enough there won't be too much dodging. Would be fun to connect some names to faces if anyone else is heading that way.

We went last year and thought it was the best of the regional in-water shows. Sea Ray corporate actually shows up for this one.

Rich,

If you liked last years show just imagine that it was half the size it was years ago! Dam economy!!:smt021 This is our home marina, and the rumors are it will be a little bit bigger then last year.... Are you just making the run up for the day, or are you staying overnight?

Rich,

Looks like we'll be at the Norwalk Visitors Dock for Friday night, at least.

Unless work or weather gets in the way, we will go Saturday.
We (wife and kids) always enjoy the Norwalk show.
Last year my kids had a blast in the try scuba pool.

Are you dropping anchor and taking the water taxi in on Sat.?
Its great holding in a muddy bottom.
:)

Our home port as well, so we'll be there. I might try and enter the wing eating contest.

I am going Thursday. Less crowds (I hope). I even signed up for docking lessons on twins :):)

The weather is threatening, but we've decided to dodge the thunderstorms and take the boat anyway, heading down Friday. If you're at the visitor's dock stop by Serendipity and say hi!

Rich,
If you need another marina.
I can offer a slip at Seaview House Marina.
We are 15min west of Norwalk in Stamford CT.
Wescott cove, not Stamford harbor.
Very quick in and out.

Call or email dock cell (203) 253-5142

Enjoy the show.

Mark.

I am going now......Will be there around 3.....Latts & Atts party at 6...free beer and pizza and great music

What a disappointing show. If possible, it seems like there only half as many boats as last year. Nice wide aisles between the booths under the tent with many empty spots in between. If anyone thinks the economy isn't hurting, they need to open their eyes.

As the Admiral says, this is serioously going to affect our selection of used boats to step up into in a few years.

Yeah, at least half as many in water boats. Seems like there were plenty of trailered boats. Booth people were much more pushy this year too. But on the upside, if you really wanted to talk with them, you could. I got a lot of great info on products this year.

I got to drive a brand new 350 Sundancer so I was happy! I signed up for an advanced docking lesson with a certified instructor. I actually drove in between the docks and turned around between 60 foot Azimuts and some other big boats. I was very nervous but the captain gave me pretty good instructions. Its funny after I cleared everything one of the engines died and would not start again. We finished our lesson on the 24 da with a single. All in all I received some good info. In general the show was small but I like Thursdays - it was nice and quiet.

I parked in the first lot on the right. Got out of the car and saw your boat. Great looking boat!

I heard from MM that the AC show was also very disappointing. Half as many new boats sold as last years show. (and that one was terrible too)

My opinion of the sales people.....RUDE, RUDE and RUDE!!!! I was on all Searay boats and was not asked by one person if I would like any questions answered, etc.........Hello folks, it is a bad economy!!! A little personality and salesmenship might be nice....Not only Searay, many salesman from other manufacturers too..Sorry if you have to get up from the cockpit seat on a humid day and work!!!!

Looked at my new favorite boat..the 53 Grand Banks Aleutian RP..just WOW!
It feels soo much bigger than 57'9" overall.
Time to pick some lotto numbers...

The show was as expected small but, fun.
A small boat show is better than a large day at work.

Air......She was a beauty.....I liked the 48 Sabre too

Wet, how did you like that hidden state room aft on the 48 sabre, cool, my kids would love that. I was on that boat in Newport, i assume it was the same one.
