I was wondering how long it would take for this topic to post. Actually a little longer than I expected considering just how much of a joke this is. I heard this on the radio coming in this morning and I just could not help but wonder what that hell? What has he done to deserve this??

So basically Obama flys around the world in Air Force 1 to various country's that hate the US and repeats the Rodney King doctrine of "Why can't we all just get along" and he wins the Noble Peace Price worth $1.4 million? The world is a funny place.

I hope he sends a few dollars to Rodney...:grin:
 
Considering the 2007 recipient, does it really mean anything? Seriously I think this is good exposure but he hasn't done anything to deserve it. It is kind of like the preseason football or basketball polls. They gave the award based on potential.

One thought that crossed my mind is did they give it to him to somewhat neuter him as to defending our country? Now he will be thinking about the award before he decides to go after someone.

I can't understand it. The votes had to be in on February 1st, which gave him 11 days in office to "earn" the award...

So much for any integrity in that award... Kids work longer to be employee of the month at McDonalds!
 
I guess allowing Iran to ramp up nukes is being peaceful deserving of a prize these days...

:smt021 Man when you look at it with that perspective it makes it even more disgusting.. I thought the same thing!!! Don't you have to do something to earn this???? Or I guess you just need to hope to do something sometime in the future to garner the award..

Goes to show how 'in love' the world is with our president. :huh:

First Gore and now this crap - I feel sorry for those who have won and have actually accomplished something to deserve the award.

I think he needs to give it to Charlie Rangel maybe, sounds like he could use a spare dime or 2.

Obama admits he's not sure he's done enough to merit the Nobel Peace Prize.

Now even normally left leaning groups /politico's are saying he should either not accept the award or send a widow of a serviceman to accept the award on the behalf of the US Servicemen/women that are keeping the peace around the world.
