Looks like they removed the outdrive for inspection or storage and gasket got pinched out. Grease is used on shift linkage in that area both for lube and to hold in place while putting drive back on
Anyone know if they have fixed this on the 2017's?

Thanks for the reply. I hope that's all it is. I was going to 'summerize' the boat myself, but based on this I guess it's back to the dealer...
Yeah, they need to pull the drive again and replace the gasket. 15min job, but they should not have left it like that.
2017 19 spx I/O with mercruiser 4.5 200HP has stock 19 pitch aluminum prop. Anyone have luck with a proven stainless? I want great overall performance. Wish I could try then buy, but you cant do that around here.

Interesting - I thought standard was a 21P BlackMax. I'm at altitude (5300 ft) and mine came with a 19P BlackMax to accommodate for the reduced power. "High Altitude Prop" was actually on my build sheet.
I'm planning on ordering a High Five or QST5 very soon. Mercury recommends sticking with the same pitch as the 3 blade your are replacing if going to a High Five.

Anyone know if the wakeboard tower folds down into the cockpit or does it stop above the windows? All I could find was the info on the 2015 model from the service manual for trailed heights.

Im telling ya. Sea ray is not much better than bayliner imho. They are severely lacking in the detail of fit and finish.
There's a thread on the Chaparral forum with exactly the same issue.

how does the high 5 work? did you get it yet?
Not yet. I finally got a chance to get the boat out yesterday and get some hard numbers:
Here’s what what I found:
Sea Ray 19SPX
Mercruiser 4.5L V6 200 HP
Recommended max rpm 4400-4800
Alpha 1 1.81
BlackMax 19P Prop
Running yesterday at 5400 ft. altitude:
Full throttle – 4800 RPM – Trim down – 38 MPH GPS
I trimmed it up a bit – and got up to 5100 RPM – 41 MPH GPS
I didn’t try trimming up any higher as I didn’t want to push the rpms any further.
I've sent the info. off to Ken at PropGods to get his thoughts. Then I'll make a final decision on a better prop.
