Just put a down payment on a 270 Sundancer, and I couldn't find an official thread so here we go...
Would love to hear feedback from other new 270 owners. I originally was looking at the 260DA. I tested it out on the water and did tons of research on it. Went in today to "walkthrough" for items to be fixed on the 260, and ended up with the 270. I never tested the 270 out on the water, or did any research on it so a little apprehensive. I got home tonight and there is almost no info out there on the 270. Curious how it rides compared to 260 I drove? Will I be able to pull adult skiers? Was told I could with the 260, but not sure since the 270 weighs more. Anyway...thanks to everyone for all the great info on boats. This will be my first. Jumped into it head first so hope I LOVE boating!

Congrats on the purchase. VERY pretty boat. Im afraid you aint pulling much with that boat and motor....i could be wrong.

A) What scott said, that's a big boat for a 350 mag
B) C'mon man!!! why limit the thread to 2009 + 270's!?!?

Not to exclude...I just wanted to get some feedback on the new 270 and everything I found was for the older model. I didn't want to accidently get feedback from someone with the older model since I thought there were probably alot of changes

Good luck with your new 270. It does seem like a lot of boat to have the base power package - the Mag 350 shows 300HP. It's listed on the Sea Ray site as having a dry weight of 8211lbs. Is it a done deal or is the deal contingent on a sea trial?

Its a lot of boat for a 496HO.....its a lot of boat for a single bravo also.

I can't afford the bigger engine. I can't go down a size either b/c in Dallas I need the generator for the a/c. The 250 doesn't have a genny. I've had terrible luck with used cars in the past so too afraid to spend that much on a used.
I tested a 260 that was 300lbs lighter with the same engine. It seemed ok to me, but of course I wasn't trying to pull anyone. Not looking to pull expert skiers...just want the flexibilty to be able to pull adult skiers/tubing.
