Here is a new addition- A New Horn! This thing really rocks!

This worked out real well and took about two & 1/2 hours to install. It is mounted to the top of the Rope locker hatch and the compressor inside the rope locker. The power comes from the windlass and the switch is conected to the horn switch on the dash Via a relay in the rope locker Cost under 200 bucks. No running wires but, you have to turn on the power to the windlass prior to hitting the horn. When it warms back up I'll look into running its own power circuit to avoid the windlass power. See photos. You do not even notice it on the boat with the windlass and anchor.

Awesome - enjoy it - a few things to check - your ipod connection may be wrong - I can tell you how to fix. Also discuss the break in procedure very closely with the dealer. We have been enjoying our 320.

cabin stereo?

I have the "premium" upgraded stereo in the cockpit of the 320. I also have it down in the cabin. The cabin speakers seem to be hooked up to the DVD player which will also play CDs and the radio.

The cockpit speakers are hooked to the Clarion receiver in the breaker panel. Is there a way to get the sound from the Clarion (sirius) to come out the cabin speakers? Or are they not wired together at all?

I am finding that Sea Ray doesn't know how to install a stereo. While my Ipod connection was wrong - I went to activate Sirius this weeknd and it is set up wrong. So I will have to tear the panel apart - the dealer seems to know little about stereos. So I will probably just deal with it myself.

I installed my Charterplotter - that I ordered from byownerelectronics.com (This site) this weekend - Thanks Jim! Works great - The NMEA wires of my VHF were all cut really short from the connector - they only left a 1/2" of wire to work with. So that was fun splicing.

Running the cable for the antenna was a little challenging. But once I realized the back of the seat backing up to the helm in the cockpit horseshoe created a nice access place to fish wores - I was able to fish the wires through.

We have the premuim sound in the cockpit and not the cabin. We must turn on the Stereo amp breaker in the cabin to share the music both in and out. It is controled thought he "Fader" Control on the clarion head unit. Not sure if it will work in your case with both Premium set ups. We will upgarde this summer to have big sound on the big LCD.

Hmm yeah...I don't have a stereo amp breaker. I am starting to think that they are wired as two completely separate systems (cabin and cockpit) which is lame! I want to listen to sirius in the cabin! :smt089

I have a stereo amp breaker that runs 4 speakers in the cockpit.

When I looked at it to upgrade I noticed the other amp was located under the couch with no ventalation. Its a Radio shack amp!. I believe this is the spot where your sub is located. do they both work off of the same head unit?

Ok just to be clear...

There is no breaker for the stereo in the breaker panel inside the cabin. There is spot where it labeled but there is no breaker there, it is blank.

I do have the "speaker" button at the helm that has to be pushed (to turn on the amp) to hear the 4 speakers in the the cockpit.

Just got my '07 320 on Friday and notice that I have to turn on the stereo button at the helm or I get no power to the stereo unit in the cabin. Seems wrong to me. Is yours the same?

Also, my cockpit refrigerator is not AC powered and shuts off with the battery switch. Sure makes it less usable. Do others have the same config?

Thanks.

Our stereo works same we learn to keep it on most all the time, Our cockpit fridge is ac/dc. Model year 05.

I don't have a 320DA but I noticed on my 2006 300DA it is the same. The button on the helm must be on for the stereo to work. Also it seems my cockpit refrigerator is only 12V DC. I'm not sure but maybe if you leave the 12V "outlet/refrigerator" button on when you leave the boat (as long as your AC converter switch is on) then maybe it's OK?

I think the helm button is a safety thing so you can quickly turn the sound off if you need to. I just leave the stereo on all the time and turn it on and off with the helm button. Since (it appears) that I have to be in the cockpit to listen to that stereo anyway it is not a big deal.

On the refrigerator, mine works on both AC and DC. Of course for the AC I have to either be plugged in to shore power or running the genset as well as have the AC breaker for the refrigerator on.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm pretty sure I had the right breakers on but I'll double check. Sounds like something to add to my punch list.

Hey Skolbe -

I just tried my ipod in the aux port of the stereo and it didn't work. You mentioned that you had similar problems and figured them out. What do I need to do?

They have it hooked up to the wrong inputs. The aux - needs to be hooked up to the red-red wire and the red-white wire - look at the schematic on the Clarion Radio. While in there you may double check your Sirius Radio as well. Because - I went to activate mine and it is not working either - so off to tear everything out again. :smt021 I am less motivated to activate Sirius than the Ipod connection. But it works great after that. In order to get the stereo out - I had to remove the 12 volt panel to get the wire harness loose.

Thanks Skolbe. I already activated the Sirius radio and it works fine. I do seem to have a problem with the remote at the helm. It only lets me change the channel to the Sirius weather channel and nothing else. Not sure if it is user error as I need to get the manual out.

Thanks for the heads up on the ipod connections. Sounds like something I might let the dealer fix. I've had a problem with the DVD player not working with the big LCD TV too.
