Official 370 Sundancer thread

Hello Cptn Chuck
We have the same boat and had she since 2005 - a wonderful boat!!! Would love to know how you did the install of the inverter - keeping the genset off would be great... Upgrade, flat screen tvs (3) one in the master, one in the salon and one in the cockpit... One other upgrade, changed the facet in the sink in the cockpit.. a fancy one my wife picked out... upgraded the stereo to include Sirius radio (hey we are parrot-heads and listen to Margaritaville most of the time!) Hopefully making the splash the first week of April

Enjoy?

Hello 370ers’- Not sure if this is the right forum to post this but I’ll give it a shot – we have a ’96 370 which we have had since ’06, great boat. The most significant upgrade thus far has been the installation of an inverter, integrated into the upper circuit bank of the shore power system. We can brew coffee, run the blender and watch a movie without running the generator.

Thanks
Cptn Chuck

Hi Chuck, What size inverter did you put in? Got any pics of the upgrades you have done? Sounds like some great ones. I have a 37 I'm looking at now but it needs a bunch of work. So I'm milling it around.

Has anyone with a 370 ever found a way to keep Gas from
spraying out of the vent when you fill it.
It drives me crazy when it does that.

Thanks
Chuck

Chuck, my 370 did the same thing but I thought they all did it. When was the last time you cleaned the vents? Be careful if you do, vapor is the enemy, don't use anything that builds up static or might cause a spark.

Andy, Russ

Thanks for the Input. I guess being very careful is the only solution.
I was hopeing there might be something That could be installed into the vent Line.

Thanks again,
Chuck

Chuck, the only thing I know of is a suction cup bucket that sticks to the hull side to catch overflow but I have seen the way it comes out of there and can't imagine how much it would catch not to mention that it's still all over the hull. You can hear it coming if you listen but sometimes surroundings don't allow that.

Russ,
They make the whistler, But unless you are a contortionist you cant get to the vent line
on the port side gas tank. so I think that is out of the question.
I will just have to listen and probably stop short of full, by watching the guage.

Thanks again,
Chuck

Greetings all

Hope everyone is enjoying getting their boats ready for the water... Question.. I have a 96 370 DA and in need of a 'gasket' replacement around the power vent window... Have anyone replaced.. where did you get the window seal...?

Thanks

Wow am I glad I found this thread. We just bought a beauty 1995 370 with all the toys.

Question...I think i fill the water tank via the port side attachment that's inside the door by the stern gate. Is this right?

The water tank fill is on the port side gunnel about five feet or so from the bow. The port you're referring to is where you attach the dockside water.

Ron, I've seen posts earlier in this thread regarding that seal, part numbers, and where to get it. Just need to scroll back through it. Mark

I'm in need of this gasket also, as well as the one in the base of the windshield frame..........so if anyone finds the numbers please post them..........thanks.

John

Funny this came up...I just received mine from Taylor yesterday. Call 518-773-0636 Taylor customer service and just give them the year and model and they'll give you the details of what you need. This is the 2nd time I'm doing the gasket (screw cover) so they had my info from a previous order on hand from 2007. The 370 requires 28 ft on the gasket and I ordered the vent window hinge cover gasket as well.. Total with shipping was $138.00
Going to install today in the rain I'll let you know how it fit's.....again...

Thanks for the info Cruiser............just wondering why you need to replace the gasket already.

John

My boat faces SE and gets slot of sun and the gasket has shrunk over time...leaving about an inch or so of the channel exposed...

Hey Cruiser. Did you get a chance to do the install of your gasket? Question - 28' of gasket for the power vent? Do you have the part number or the screw cover?

Regards
Ron
