Official 370 Sundancer thread

Spiro,
Do you remember who you purchased the screw cover and the windshield vent gasket from?

Thanks
Connie

marine max

Sorry to come in late on this thread...I am in need of the front vent window rubber gasket that runs horizontally across the top of the vent hinge...is this the part you are speaking of? If so I have a couple of questions...LOL
A). Do you have a part number from Marine Max?
B). This looks like a "fun" project to repair...was it a task?

My horizontal rubber hinge gasket is really getting bad and it would be nice to repair/replace it.
Thanks
Bill

My looked bad, real bad, Taylor said it was no longer available (emailed them a picture as well as called), so I removed the entire gasket. I wash the boat weekly and no matter how much water I spray where the gasket was, it does not leak

Hey guys...just posted in the pic/video section a thread with our tv upgrade on AMFM3.

So you don't have to go look for it, here's the link for the slide show. Read about it in the pic section!

Nice job!!! I am assuming the 3 stacked Toshiba units under the salon tv are dvd players all wired to each tv?
What size tv did you go with in the salon also what size is the cockpit tv? I am going to add a cockpit tv pretty quick and was thinking of going with a 22" slim LED by Samsung. What type of mount did you use on the radar arch? Is it a flat mount with only 15 degree pivot up/down and left
/right?
Thanks
Bill
PS: I just added another JL Audio 8" sub in the salon under the bench seat...holy cow does it rock the salon now...:) It's driven by a JL M700/5 amp. The cockpit has the 10" sub and is driven by the same amp...the admiral doesn't think it's worth it, but we know better...LOL

Hi Bill...thanks for the nice comments.

The stack is indeed the BlueRay stack. Top to bottom is bow to stern for reference. The middle unit serves the main salon tv. All of the units are 23" Toshibas with Toshiba BlueRay. The only one of the units that pivots is the cockpit unit. It turns to be visible from the cockpit seat or aimed at the rear seating area.

I'm not sure which mounting units that Curtis used as he did all the drilling and installs of the brackets. He also built the unit that the BlueRays are mounted in plus the salon tv is mounted on. He's pretty handy that way and has done a lot of boats in our area. I'll ask him for you though and let you know.

The stereo system is amazing. It runs iPod, iPad audio and video in the cockpit. The whole bench I sit on houses the sub and it rocks. There are also speakers on the transom so that you can enjoy tunes while swimming!

I think my next project is going to be replacing the flooring downtairs or reupholstering the seating and trim in the bow stateroom.

Sorry, I don't know what happened. again, 1997 370 dancer with gen 6 454 carbed engines. I am changing out one engine on my boat and am thinking of a complete new repower. HAs anyone gone down from the 454 to the newer 383 or 350? ANy suggestions for better gas and overall performance? I have had no luck with my carbed 454's and think its time for a change Thanks Tom

I have a question I hope someone can help me with.
last weekend I had the bilge pump alarm go off in the bilge under the salon floor.
never had water there before ever. Water was coming through the stringer on the port side.
The pump would kick on about every 50 mins. I turned off the water at the dock and the water leaking in slowed down. I was frustrated trying to figure out where it came from.
i removed the center cushion of the aft cabin, and the area that the hot water heater is located in was half full of water. Is there any way that the water in the hot water heater area could make its way into the center bilge? Or is it coincidental that there was water both places? What would cause all the water in the hot water heater compartment? High pressure release valve? Or a leak? Any ideas where the water in the bilge might be coming from otherwise? Any ideas on how to find the leak if it is in a water line?
any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to me, yes the water from the heater will reach the center bilge once the compartment fills up. On mine one of the compression fittings let loose emptied my entire fresh water tank. If you pull the port cushion I bet there is water there and follow the wires forward you can see how the water gets to the center bilge area.

Hey Folks,

I have my eyes on a '96 370 Sundancer with 3116 Cats, this seems to be a rare combo and I do like the thought of the diesels over gas but I am having trouble finding much info on them. Anyone here happen to know or where to direct me for info like cruising speed, max speed, economy.

Thanks
Rob

Hey gang. I am wondering if anyone here purchased our former 370. It was a 1997 370 Dancer we named "Sea Exec". We traded her in for a 2005 420 dancer back in 2007. I was curious if she was still around the Tampa Bay area. Thanks, Matt

I found this online when I was looking

Not me. But was this (http://www.370sundancer.com/1997/photos-111/) your boat?

Gene
Yes Sir! That is her, I wonder where she is now. So many good memories. I will always remember the smile on my Dad's face listening to the monologue from "Sinatra at the Sands" and hearing him laugh out loud to Mr. Sinatra. We have made a lot of good memories on number two, but that is one memory that will always live in my heart. I hope she has a good home. Thanks Gene!

Hello All you 370 owners,

I need to know if there are any zinks used in the engines, generator and A/C units. My engines are closed fresh water (antifreeze) engines. If there are any used can you tell me what sizes I need and where they are located. I am also needing to flush out / descale the raw water systems. What is best to use and how is it applied.

Thank you all for your expertise...

Barry
