I have low water pressure when I'm using the fresh water pump, is there a filter or anything I can check? FWIW, the dealer had installed a new pump before I bought the boat because the surveyor found a small leak around the connection at the pump. The pressure is fine while at the dock connected to marina water.

Being able to draw from either tank, or just one was a option. You need to check your specific boat to see if you have the setup for it.

There's a filter attached to the water pump, it easily gets clogged.

Is there a fuel selector (gas engines) to allow fuel to be drawn from either tank? Engine and/or Generator?

Erik R,
According to my owners manual, the fuel selector valve is available on diesel only, not gas. The generator pulls from the starboard tank only.

I have low pressure on the water pump supply and good pressure on marina water supply. I need to clean the fresh water pump strainer/filter. I'm assuming there's a shut off for the tank supply somewhere?

Just flip the switch off on the DC panel..lower right column 3rd from the top.

I don't recall if the filter is before or after the pump. Never did this on my boat but did many times on a friends 410 and never got dumped on with take water. I think you need to keep a towel handy to sop up the spillage though.

I think the screen is after the pump. Which is why turning off the pump works. I know I cleaned mine several times and I don't remember having a flood. There is some water that leaks out.

I turned off the pump and wasn't connected to marina supply and I drained all the spigots. When I unscrewed that filter screen, water steadily came out. I had some towels and I worked fast. After I got it back on it occurred to me that it's probably on the fresh water tank side of the pump. I would of been screwed if I would of broke something or was unable to get it back on and sealed. FWIW, my water pressure is great now.

Curious if anyone has upgraded to a better, quieter pump yet.

When I bought my boat the PO had already gone through 2 water pumps, and had a non-original equipment pump installed as the third.
It was quiet, a slight humm could be heard when it ran. I then had the boat until 2014 and never had a issue with it.

I changed mine a couple of years ago, and put another Shurflo in of similar size. Still noisey, but that's not all bad. It there is a leak somewhere, the pump cycles, and you hear it. If I changed again, I would upgrade to a higher volume and pressure. It would be nice to have more flow when hosing off the anchor.

Any ideas for storage options in the bilge? Looking for a spot to store oil and maint. items to get them out of the cockpit cabinets. Ideas would be appreciated.

I keep a storeage milkcrate (from Target or whatever store) that fits under the diamond plate that spans the stringers. All my fluids are in that crate, along with funnels and a rag for wiping checked dip-sticks. I use a bungee to keep it from sliding back when coming up on plane. Works great and it's even gray, b/c you wouldn't want it to clash with the bilge-cote.

I'll see if I have a pic or take one on Friday.

Thanks Ron! Would love to see a pic. what do you bungee it down to? is there an anchor point you use?
