I also did not have a key when I bought my 390 3 years ago. I removed the lock (not difficult) and dropped it off at Granite Lock in Quincy, Mass. 2 weeks later he called and said he was able to make a key for it. I said great please make an extra and I did not ask how much this was going to cost. 3 days later I stopped by to pick up the lock and 2 keys and was shocked when he told me how much. He said it was expensive, twenty five bucks for both keys. I shock his hand and gave nim $50 cash and told him to take his wife out to dinner. Just one of those rare cases when customer service came way before money. :smt001 Finding a replacement lock is almost impossible.
On my 86 390, the key has a number stamped on it. I went to my local Sea Ray Dealer, Parts dept. He brought out a box of keys and we found several keys with the same number. That was it; same number, same key. I bought 5.
