last year had a slight leak on my bravo 3 outdrive on the port side. This year had the bellows changed and got the boat back to my house and noticed oil leaking off the exhaust bellow on both port and starboard drives while the motors were in the trailer position. Lowered both outdrives down and noticed I have oil leaking from the middle bolt on the right side of the outdrive on both drives. The oil level in the resiviour tank is dropping and I haven't even had the boat in the water yet. In about the past 3 weeks the oil in the resiviours has dropped about an inch in both tanks. There is no oil in the bilge area only leaking where the legs connect and it is all over the bellows. Any ideas where it is coming from? The mechanics that put the bellows on are coming on friday to fix the exhaust bellows because they are not pushed on all the way and I'm trying to get some ideas so I can see if it is something that they did.

That’s the area where the spring loaded valve is located. There is a small O-ring that is part of the install kit that goes around the valve. Is it possible that they didn’t install that o-ring in both drives?

Thats what I'm hoping for. when I installed the drives last year I know I put them on and had no real issues but this year after the marina changed the bellows now I have a lot leaking from both drives.

Sounds fishy - especially since both drives are doing the same thing after service. Maybe a tech needs some re training?

They didn't get both exhaust bellows on correctly??

I know they're a pain, but doesn't instill confidence...

If its oil from the bolt area then quite possible the O ring went missing

The port exhaust bellow is not slid all the way onto the leg it was very noticeable considering that you could see that the old one was almost on an inch further and the clamp that is holding that one on is half on and half off the bellow.
